We would have won BBA – Ola, Chris

During their brief participation in the 2012 edition of Big Brother competition, the duo of Olamilekan Bakare and Chris Asekomeh, made quite an impression with their witty nature, thereby heightening Nigeria’s hopes of winning the whopping $300,000, (about N46.8m at official rate) prize money.
Although they had to voluntarily leave the competition owing to Ola’s health challenge, after developing high blood pressure in the house, they chorused that they were confident they would have emerged winners
“We were obviously the favourite among the housemates while in the house. In fact, we were shocked when they said we were a very strong team. Just one week in the house, they (other housemates) already accepted defeat. We would have won Big Brother if we stayed longer because we had all it takes to win,” they said.
On how they adjusted to life in front of cameras, Chris says, “it was clumsy as first. When we first got into the house, I noticed that when we talk deep, the camera moves. I was like, ‘which kain thing be this’, luckily, I got used to it by the second day as I did not care any longer or think about the cameras in front of me.”

More than 10,000 people gathered in and around the square.
Among those who viewed the body as it lay under a glass case before the service were Ivory Coast’s President Alassane Ouattara and Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia as well as the leaders of Benin and neighbouring Togo.

The New Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse

If you love cars like me, this will definitely interest you... *winks*

As of today, there are four Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse roadsters in the world, the fastest open-topped cars ever built, each valued at a minimum of $2.4 million and capable of hitting 255 mph. Driving one feels like the ultimate cheat code in the video game of life; maximum power, near invincibility and all the coins. It's also a peek inside the hidden kingdom of Bugatti owners, where $20,000 tire changes seem logical.
First, some genealogy: The Grand Sport Vitesse is the final evolution of the Bugatti Veyron launched in 2005. Those cars had 1,001 horsepower from their 16-cylinder, quad-turbocharged engines; the Grand Sport Vitesse makes an even 1,200 hp, combined with a sleeker body, suspension changes and a removable roof. After building about 350 Veyrons, Bugatti has vowed to build about 100 more.
Parked outside my hotel, the Vitesse sits as if someone pulled to the valet counter in a space shuttle. Awaiting me for my ride was Andy Wallace, a former 24 Hours of LeMans winner who's now Bugatti's on-call driver, showing owners and potential buyers how to get the car to 250 mph and back to zero without dying. It's like being an astronaut whose rocket goes forward instead of up.

South African hitman in Dewani honeymoon murder gets 25 years

One of the South African hitmen, Mziwamadoda Qwabe (pictured above on the right), accused of killing honeymooner Anni Dewani was this morning sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to her murder.

28 year old Anni Dewani (pictured above with her husband) was shot and killed after the taxi she and her husband were travelling in was hijacked on the outskirts of Cape Town on November 13, 2010 while on their honeymoon. Her British husband Shrien Dewani is accused of masterminding the killing in a murder set up to look like a botched carjacking. He allegedly hired three men to kill Anni. He says he's not guilty.

South Africa is still awaiting his extradition. Qwabe is the second of three South African suspects to be jailed. In 2010 another man turned state witness and implicated Dewani in plotting to kill his new bride. He was sentenced to 18 years

11-year-old girl married to 40-year-old man

Whenever I saw him, I hid. I hated to see him," Tahani (in pink) recalls of the early days of her marriage to Majed, when she was 6 and he was 25. The young wife posed for this portrait with former classmate Ghada, also a child bride, outside their mountain home in Hajjah.

Before their wedding ceremony begins in rural
Afghanistan, a 40-year-old man sits to be photographed with his 11-year-old bride. The girl tells the photographer that she is sad to be engaged because she had hoped to become a teacher. Her favorite class was Dari, the local language, before she had to leave her studies to get married.
She is one of the 51 million child brides around the world today. And it's not just Muslims; it happens across many cultures and regions.
Photographer Stephanie Sinclair has traveled the world taking pictures, like the one of the Afghan couple, to document the phenomenon. Christiane Amanpour spoke with Sinclair about a book which features her photographs called, "Questions without Answers: The World in Pictures by the Photographers of VII."

BadGirl Singer Rihanna (Riri), dropped by Nivea

Seems her bad girl image is affecting her brand. From smoking ganja publicly, repping thug life, partying hard, posting uncensored tweets etc. Yesterday one of the brands she endorses, Nivea, dropped her as their ambassador. The head of Nivea’s parent company Beiersdorf revealed to German Media that they would not be re-signing Rihanna because she doesn’t fit their family image.
'Rihanna is a no go. I do not understand how to bring the core brand of Nivea in conjunction with Rihanna. Nivea is a company which stands for trust, family and reliability.'
Well... badgirl image does not sell all the time!

Strange Incident.. Twin sisters are born and are completely different races.

21-year-old Kylie Hodgson of Nottingham, England, is half-black, half-white. So’s her partner, 19-year-old Remi Horder. Back in 2006, they conceived twins. And when the twin girls were born, one was black… and one was white. Remee is blonde and white; Kian is black.
Since both Kylie and Remi are mixed race, when the two eggs were conceived, the one that became Remee inherited all of the white genes from the family, and Kian inherited all of the black genes. The odds of this happening are at least a million to one.

wow... wonderful!

My visit to Aba, Abia State

Sorry for the Long Pause...Went for a Church Convention in Abia State to worship, praise, pray to my God.
had mad fun there! And I noticed something, Aba people are the most industrious people in Nigeria... if not the world at large... Prove me wrong! But it is most unfortunate that they are not quite recognized and appreciated.
